Makerlab is a prototyping workshop available to enrolled KEA students, lecturers, researchers or students from our partner institutions in Nordic Entrepreneurship Hubs.
To use the workshop students have to
complete the intro-course held at Makerlab. Later in the semester Makerlab will also arrange machine specific courses where students gets hands on experience with the machines.

Machines has to be clean and ready for the next user before end of period, and latest 15 minutes before workshop closes.
While waiting for our new home page and booking calendar we have set up a temporary booking system and in the repository you can also find tutorials and assets file needed to prepare your files.

The machines listed above can only be booked from Monday to Friday, from 9am til 3.45pm. Students are allowed to book the machines up to 2 hours at a time and maximum 4 hours a week, with exception to the 3D printer, which often requires to run overnight. In this case you should book the printer both days.
All bookings which should be modified or cancelled, are your own responsibility and can be made by logging into the calendar. If you need to cancel a booking, this should be done at least 24 hours in advance. If you haven’t cancelled your booking and don’t turn up, you will receive a warning. After 3 warnings you will be prohibited from using the workshop.
NB: The wood workshop doesn’t require a booking. It is free for use for those who have taken the intro-course, depending on capacity. The table saw and CNC machine cannot be used without the assistance of the workshop managers.
